Human remains found inside impounded Tesla at Hollywood tow yard in Los Angeles, LAPD says

HOLLYWOOD, LOS ANGELES — The Los Angeles Police Department is investigating the gruesome discovery of human remains inside an impounded Tesla at a tow yard in Hollywood Monday.

Officers responded to the 1000 block of N. Mansfield Avenue shortly before 12:30 p.m. to a report of a foul odor coming from an impounded vehicle, according to LAPD.

Authorities say the human remains were found in the front trunk of the Tesla.

Video from AIR7 showed police yellow tape encircling the Tesla, along with several parked vehicles, in the impound lot with a white canopy set up nearby.

LAPD says detectives are conducting a death investigation but did not have any further details.
