NEW YORK CITY — The Broadcasting and Cable annual Hall of Fame Awards dinner honored people who have made a big impact in television on Tuesday night.
The honorees included ABC’s “Live with Kelly and Mark’s” long-time executive producer, Michael Gelman.
Gelman was joined on Tuesday by Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos to support him.
“Michael Gelman is a treasure, and the most devoted member of our team for multi, multi decades,” Ripa said. “This is a long overdue honor.”
“”He makes it look easy, and we all know that it’s really, really hard to keep a show on the air, keep it relevant, keep it at the top,” Consuelos said.
They also presented Gelman with his award.
“I’ve been doing this for over 40 years, so the show is my legacy and it’s such an honor to be honored in this way,” Gelman said.
Also honored was ESPN Chairman James Pitaro, who was presented with the Chairman’s Award.
Actress Sheryl Lee Ralph from “Abbott Elementary” was presented with the Humanitarian Award.
