SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) — Macy’s in San Francisco’s Union Square was evacuated on Saturday due to a report of an explosive device, the company confirmed.
San Francisco police said it responded to the incident just after 4:30 p.m. to a business on the 100 block of O’Farrell Street, evacuating the store.

Police said officers and SFPD K-9s searched the business, and did not find any devices.
A Macy’s spokesperson told ABC7, “the store was safely evacuated, screened, and closed as scheduled for the evening.”
It has since reopened for business as usual on Sunday.
“We appreciate the quick response and thorough work of the San Francisco Police Department,” Macy’s said in the statement.
No arrests have been made.
