
SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) — Thousands of people are expected to take part in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s on Saturday in San Francisco.
ABC7 is a proud media sponsor of the annual walk, and ABC7 News anchor Amanda del Castillo and reporter Zach Fuentes are emceeing the event.
The opening ceremony starts at 10 a.m. at Bayfront Park in Mission Bay.
The walk is free to participate in, but donations are encouraged.
The money allows the Alzheimer’s Association to provide 24/7 care and support for families.
It also goes to research for prevention, treatments, and ultimately, a cure.
