SAN JOSE, Calif. (KGO) — The NFL and Bay Area Host Committee said Monday the entire region will play a role in making the Super Bowl week a success as they announced venues for the festivities.
In just a few month’s time, Levi’s Stadium will host the Super Bowl, but all nine counties will play a part in uniting the Bay through sport.
“When a Super Bowl event comes in, sometimes an individual region or a city will feel like this is theirs versus another and our job is to make the Super Bowl feel like it’s everyone’s,” BAHC President and CEO Zaileen Janmohamed said. “Each county has their own vibes and culture and our job is actually showcase that.”
Monday morning, the Bay Area Host Committee and NFL gave us a look at where the major events will take place in February.

San Francisco will once again be the epicenter for all things Super Bowl.
The NFL Honors will be hosted at the Palace of Fine Arts and the Moscone Center will be the site of the 2026 Pro Bowl Games, as well as the Media Center and the NFL Experience.
“I mean, that really is our NFL theme park,” NFL EVP of International and League Events Peter O’Reilly said. “You got a little bit of everything for all ages in there – from the Lombardi Trophy and all the rings, to running the 40. And, when not used for an AFC/NFC flag game, you got a pretty great venue there for kids and teams to be a part of.”
San Jose will be where the teams will be practicing and staying during the big week, but the NFL also announced that the city will once again play host to Super Bowl Opening Night.

Ten years ago, it was at the SAP Center – this time around it’s at the Convention Center.
It’s the only sanctioned event the league announced in the South Bay thus far. But, Mayor Matt Mahan says he’s not disappointed at all.
“We’re excited, actually,” Mahan said. “This is more of an investment from the league than I think we expected. The city has decided this time around that we’re going to control our own destiny. We’re raising millions of dollars to put on world-class concerts, drone shows, culinary experiences – there will be plenty to do.”
Of course, the biggest event of the entire week will be in Santa Clara at Levi’s Stadium.
While more events across the region will be announced later, the countdown is on for the biggest sports year in Bay Area history and it all starts with Super Bowl 60.
