OAKLAND, Calif. (KGO) — Warriors star Stephen Curry and wife, Ayesha are putting a spotlight on their nonprofit, Eat. Learn. Play.
This month, the organization brought “Christmas with the Currys” to life.
The group put on free holiday-themed book fairs for 47 Oakland Unified elementary schools.

Organizers estimate more than 17,000 students were able to find and choose brand-new books for themselves.
The couple recently talked about their passion project with our very own ABC7 Weather Anchor Spencer Christian on “Good Morning America.”
“For us, Eat. Learn. Play as the three pillars that can establish a healthy and happy childhood for kids – it made sense and we knew that we could authentically show up and provide, you know, the proper support and resources for kids that deserve it,” Curry said.
Since its inception, Eat. Learn. Play. has distributed more than 1 million books to students throughout Oakland.
