WALNUT CREEK, Calif. (KGO) — A busy road in Walnut Creek reopened on Saturday after a water main break caused lane closures and traffic backups.
Ygnacio Valley Road at Homestead Avenue fully reopened to drivers around 8:30 p.m. following more than two days of work, according to East Bay Municipal Utility District officials.

The main broke Thursday afternoon causing major disruptions to traffic and water service.
It’s unknown what caused the water main break.
