Animal rights activist Zoe Rosenberg has been sentenced for taking four chickens from Perdue Farms’ Petaluma slaughterhouse.
SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) — Animal rights activist Zoe Rosenberg has been sentenced for taking four chickens from Perdue Farms’ Petaluma slaughterhouse.
Rosenberg will spend 30 days in jail and 60 days in a jail alternative – like a halfway hour or home confinement.
Prosecutors are seeking a 180-day jail term, but she could get up to four-and-a-half years.

Rosenburg argued she was investigating unlawful animal cruelty and rescued the chickens.
Prosecutors pushed for a six-month sentence, arguing she lacked any remorse.
