Employees want wage increases, better staffing and improved retirement benefits.

Kaiser says it’s committed to reaching an agreement and that a strike would only delay progress and could potentially disrupt care.
The dispute involves 31,000 workers in California and Hawaii. It includes registered nurses, pharmacists, nurse anesthetist and physician assistants.
