Many others arrived overnight, and were lined up before ABC7 News crews were even there. Many of the dedicated shoppers were wrapped in blankets and bundled up as they waited.
Two women in line, Heather and Janice, drove hours just for the deals.
“We drove two and a half hours to get here from Templeton, California,” one of them said.
“We wanted to be the first in the first 250 to get the gift cards,” the other said.
Early shoppers had the chance to win a gift card, some with a value of up to $500. Other deals included discounts of up to 80% off.
