 
         
HOUSTON, Texas — Artist Louis Gonzalez describes Da de Los Muertos as a deep and emotional tradition that celebrates the lives of loved ones who have died.
He was one of eight artists selected to create an ofrenda honoring eight cyclists who died on Houston city streets over the past century.
“Every color means something, the flowers, the smells, the food, all of that is to draw in the spirit of the person that we lost,” Gonzalez said.

“Ofrenda Blossoms for Ghost Bikes” is free and open to the public until November 13, 2025, at MECA, located at 1900 Kane Street in Houston.
