LOS ANGELES — The 10 remaining couples on “Dancing with the Stars” danced to songs from the “Wicked” films for this week’s “Wicked Night.”
The judges’ table had a special addition. Carrie Ann Inaba, Derek Hough and Bruno Tonioli were joined by guest judge Jon M. Chu, director of “Wicked” and the upcoming “Wicked: For Good.”
Judge’s scores and fan votes from “Wicked Night” were combined with last week’s “Dedication Night,” as there was no elimination. In the end, it was time to say goodbye to Pentatonix singer Scott Hoying and his pro partner Rylee Arnold.
“It’s meant everything. I’m so incredibly grateful for this,” Scott said of his experience. “Rylee is my favorite person ever. I had so much fun. I learned so much.”
“I’m so proud of you. You did amazing this season, and I couldn’t have asked for a better partner,” Rylee said.
Reality TV Star Whitney Leavitt earned the first set of 10s of the competition for her quickstep to “Popular.” Three of the judges gave her and partner, Mark Ballas, a 10, leaving her just one point away from earning a perfect 40/40.
However, she didn’t stay at the top of the leaderboard alone for long, as gymnast Jordan Chiles also earned a 39/40, tying her as the top-scoring couple of week six.
Next week, expect the ballroom to be filled with spookiness as the show’s annual Halloween episode will take place on Oct. 28.
