LOS ANGELES — Get a taste of outer space at B Sweet Dessert Bar!
Disney and Pixar are teaming up with B Sweet to bring out-of-this-world treats inspired by the cosmic adventure film, “Elio,” to life.
On The Red Carpet spoke with B Sweet owner Barb Batiste about the collaboration. “I’m so honored and excited to be doing this. We got to make special desserts for it. We’ve got some displays. We’ve got a big rocket ship out there! I just can’t wait for everybody to try the desserts.”
On the menu are “Elio’s Cosmic Pop-Tart,” “Ok. Bye. Love you! Blueberry Cheesecake,” “Questa’s Orbitberry Truffles,” “Ooooo-be Cookies,” “Communiverse Cookies,” “Gravity On! Halo filled with Bubble Gum Ice Cream,” “Elio’s Glorp (with Boba)” and “Glordon’s Galactic Halo-Halo.”
Also celebrating the crossover was the voice of Elio himself, Yonas Kibreab, who told us, “It’s so cool ’cause I’m always at B Sweet too, like me and my friends will come here and hang out, grab some treats. And, you know, to see like, what I worked on come here to a place that I’m very familiar with is very cool!”
The collaboration celebrates the movie’s digital release, which features bonus extras including a gag reel, deleted scenes, featurettes, a how to draw session, Easter eggs and more! The 4K UHD, Blu-ray and DVD versions release September 9.
The pop-up runs September 6-28 at B Sweet Dessert Bar, located at 2005 Sawtelle Blvd. Los Angeles, CA 90025.
Hours of operation are Wed – Sun, as follows:
Wed – Fri 6:00 pm – 11:00 pm
Sat 12:00 pm – 11:00 pm
Sun. 12:00 pm – 10:00 pm
