SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) — A spelling error on a freeway sign in the North Bay is reminding us all why it’s important to double-check our work.
The sign on southbound 101 in Novato/Petaluma should read San Marin Drive.
But you can see, it says “San Martin Drive.”
An ABC7 News viewer shared this photo with us.
We asked Caltrans if there’s a timeline to fix the sign.
Caltrans released the following statement to ABC7 News:
“Yes, the construction project is aware there is a typo on the exit sign panel. A corrected sign is being fabricated. It is expected to be replaced in the next few weeks. The contractor will fix the signage; there is no additional cost to the State to make the correction.”
