That’s a line from Kumail Nanjiani’s new comedy special for Hulu called “Night Thoughts.”
“Night thoughts are like day thoughts except they hate you,” he says in the trailer, seen in the video player above.
Filmed in Chicago, where Nanjiani got his start in standup, “Night Thoughts” tackles anxiety (“I’ve never been in a fight because I’m super good at apologizing.”), the perils of buying drugs before they were legalized and… cat medication.
The special was written, performed and executive produced by Nanjiani. Additional executive producers are Molly Mandel, Emily V. Gordon, Elan Gale, Bernie Schaeffer, and Bill Dixon. It was directed by Bill Benz.
“Night Thoughts” is part of Hulu’s Hularious series. It streams December 19.
