PESCADERO, Calif. (KGO) — A farm in San Mateo County is cleaning up after a possible tornado hit during Monday’s storm.
The powerful winds and rain damaged Flip Flop Farms in Pescadero.
A 200-pound water tank was thrown across the highway, and a plastic roof was blown off.
The farm owners say their plants were ripped out of the ground, and it looked like something touched down.

“I actually kind of stayed hunkered down, just because the wind is really dangerous, and there’s even a metal object over here that flew maybe over 100 and maybe 200 feet. So, I just kind of waited for things to calm,” said Taylor Lane.
The owners are facing thousands of dollars in repairs.
The National Weather Service is still investigating whether it was actually a tornado, meaning it had to have touched down on the ground.
