SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) — We’re learning more about four family members found dead in a San Francisco home Wednesday afternoon.
The tragedy rocked the Westwood Highlands neighborhood.
Court documents show a history of financial hardship involving the family’s home, which was sold in a foreclosure auction.
“My thoughts are with the family. My thoughts are with the neighbors,” said Kathryn Doane.
Friends and neighbors were leaving flowers and paying respects outside the home on Monterey Boulevard Thursday, where four family members were found dead the day before, including two children.

Four people were found dead in San Francisco, according to authorities. San Francisco police called the deaths suspicious and a “criminal action.”
Police are investigating this as a possible murder-suicide.
“My heart went out to the family. In a situation like this, I don’t know why people can’t get help. There’s so many people who can help you,” Doane said.
Relatives confirmed with ABC7 News, Thomas “T.R.” Ocheltree, wife Paula Truong and their two young daughters were found deceased inside the home.
SFPD hasn’t said how the family died.
A relative told ABC7 News, “We are devastated. Thomas Ocheltree and his beautiful daughters are the real victims here. They played no part in this tragedy.”

The family was likely experiencing financial trouble.
Court documents obtained by ABC7 News show the Monterey Boulevard home had been in foreclosure since February of 2024, when the family was more than $200,000 dollars behind in mortgage payments. Other documents show they had been in default since March of 2022.
The home was sold at public auction in September 2024.
Records show the couple previously owned Orbit Coffee, a cafe and roastery that once had three locations in Oakland — now closed.
“I don’t have the word now. I’m in shock. It’s a tragedy. Thinking of the family, processing right now,” said Belinda Hanart.
