SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) — Rain is returning to the Bay Area for the first time in almost a month.
After light rain Wednesday, Thursday remains dry, before a constant wet pattern begins Friday with a Level 1 storm on our ABC7 Exclusive Storm Impact Scale for light showers.

Here’s a timeline of what to expect:
FRIDAY
Level 1 storm – widespread rain arrives Friday night, winds increase.
SATURDAY
Level 1 storm Saturday with overnight, morning showers.
SUNDAY
Level 2 storm Sunday with rain, gusty winds. We are watching Sunday closely for the potential for heavy rain and strong gusty winds.
APPROACHING CHRISTMAS
More rain chances will be with us next week as we approach Christmas. There is a chance these rankings could change as atmospheric conditions evolve during the week ahead.
