
SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) — The first significant storm of the season is moving into the Bay Area, bringing rain, wind and possible thunderstorms to the area.

Tuesday is a Level 1 system on our ABC7 Exclusive Storm Impact Scale after a Level 2 swept through the Bay Area Monday. We will see scattered showers continuing under partly cloudy skies.
Morning temperatures are chilly, and rainfall estimates will range from a few hundredths to .25″.

Wednesday and Beyond
Sunny and mild days will resume with 70s arriving beginning Wednesday and lasting through Saturday.
Friday and Saturday will be the warmest days of the week with 70s bayside and near 80 far inland, compliments of a dry offshore flow.
Winter Weather Advisory
This is in effect for Lake Tahoe through 11 a.m. Wednesday.
There will be heavy snow above 5,000 feet with 6-12″ of snowfall expected, with 1-2 feet along the Sierra crest and 1-3 inches at lake level. Winds will gust to 60 mph.
Winter Storm Warning
This is in effect along the West Slope of the Sierra Nevada through 5 a.m. Wednesday.
There will be snow above 6,500 feet, with 1-2 feet south of Highway 50.
