“Will Trent” is back in action, taking viewers to the Georgia Bureau of Investigations and beyond for Season 4.
Entertainment reporter Joelle Garguilo sat down with Will Trent himself, actor Ramon Rodriguez, to talk all about the show, his Puerto Rican Roots, and some new upcoming projects.
Garguilo learned that Ramon actually turned down the role of Will Trent a couple of times before agreeing to sign on.
Joelle Garguilo: Did you pass on Will Trent?
Ramon Rodriguez: I did. There’s so many, again, cop procedural shows, and I wasn’t sure yet how are we going to stand out and make ourselves different. And I really think the stories we’re telling, it’s dramatic and funny. And after multiple conversations, they it felt like this was real, and so I took the leap. And I’m really grateful I did.
Garguilo: What is Will’s storyline going to be that you can tell us about?
Rodriguez: Will unraveling. Deconstructing this character who’s always been sort of put together. He’s going to go through a lot, sadly, but we’re going to have some new romances. We’ll have some old romance.
Garguilo also learned that the new season picks up after a major cliffhanger.
Garguilo: Let’s end with one thing everybody needs to know about season four of “Will Trent.”
Rodriguez: It is going to be the ride of your life, so you’re going to want to tune in.
